5 buildings that got changed

Minecraft 1.18 will be released for Java and Bedrock Editions on November 30, 2021. Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 2 will bring a major overhaul of the Overworld, adding many new biomes and world generation capabilities.

Mojang will add massive mountains and deep cave biomes to the Overworld, causing dramatic changes. Developers have also fixed many bugs and made lots of tweaks.

Minecraft 1.18 update improves various structures. This article lists five structures which will be updated in Caves and Cliffs Part 2

5) Amethyst geodes

Minecraft 1.18 updates have nerfed amethyst geodes. These structures were generated below Y 70 in Minecraft 1.17. However, amethyst gedes now generate below Y 30.

This is likely to stop amethyst geodes generating on the top. They will be found by players exploring deep caves and underwater caves.

4) Desert temple

Sometimes, desert temples can generate water on top. This was strange because the hidden chamber could generate within water. This strange bug was fixed in Minecraft 1.18.

Players will no longer find levitating temples in the desert. Desert temples can now generate at a fixed level instead of being buried occasionally.

3) Pillager outposts

Minecraft 1.18 updates adds new mountain biomes. Illagers have evolved to survive in harsh environments. These mountains can be used to create pillager outposts. Due to their large size, players might find pillager outposts in these mountains.

2) Dungeons

Dungeons are the only Minecraft structure that has natural mob-spawners. Mojang has increased the number of dungeons located at the Overworld's deepest levels, so players will find more below Y level 0.

Minecraft's dungeons are great for creating mob farms. In Minecraft 1.18, players can venture into deep caves to discover dungeons.

1) Mineshafts

Nearly every player has heard of mineshafts and is familiar with them. Minecraft 1.18 update will feature mineshafts that hang from chains and are supported by logs. This was necessary because mineshafts looked strange in cheese caves.

Minecraft 1.18 is more than just terrain generation. Many Overworld features will see minor improvements.
